If you open Job Manager is there anything relating to Edge in the Start-up tab listing. Edge shouldn't open when yous ability on your laptop whether it is your default browser or non.

Check the following: go to Beginning > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options > under Restart apps, ostend "Automatically salve my restartable apps when I sign out..."

If that doesn't help, then open the Task Manager > get to the Startup tab > disable any option that relates to Microsoft Edge.

Last, go to Start > Settings > System > Notifications & deportment > uncheck selection "Prove me the Windows welcome experience later updates and occasionally when I sign in to highlight what'due south new and suggested"

I am non 100% certain how to detect out. I went to properties and it merely said X86/edge a shorter version.

In the settings carte, locate the Assistance & Feedback or About selection. Another mode to check is to open file explorer and come across if this path exists: C:\Programme Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Awarding. If it does, then y'all are using the new Chromium-based Edge.

Confirm you did the following: Go to Start > Settings > Organization > Notifications & deportment > uncheck choice "Show me the Windows welcome experience after updates and occasionally when I sign in to highlight what's new and suggested"

Like event, Edge Chromium freezes in Print Preview so crashes. I couldn't Modify Edge Chromium in Windows 10 Settings console. (I get a loading cursor and that'southward information technology) So, I reinstalled Border Chromium, and that fixed the freezing in Print Preview, but I nevertheless can't Modify in Windows x Settings panel.
